Honeywell Announces Collaboration with Bold Technologies

Companies Offer New Remote Services by Integrating WIN-PAK® PRO Central Station and Manitou Management Software

LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 24, 2008 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today it is collaborating with Bold Technologies, LTD to offer integrated access control software that allows central monitoring stations to provide new remote management services for customer sites. The new solution combines Honeywell’s remote managed access control system, WIN-PAK® PRO Central Station, with Bold’s Manitou central station automation software. The technology is ideal for businesses that rely on central stations to manage their security systems, as well as organizations that want control of their access systems from a single user interface.

WIN-PAK PRO Central Station and Manitou enables remote managed access control as a value-added service for the central station, while providing an alternative to customer-managed access control. The advantage of a centrally managed access platform is reduced overall expense for customers. With no software to install at the customer’s location, the integration allows the central station to manage all aspects of the customer’s system. This greatly reduces the cost to the user, including training, software upgrades, operating systems and computers. This integration allows central stations and dealers to increase recurring monthly revenue (RMR) by offering a wider array of remote services such as access control alarm and event monitoring, digital video monitoring, e-mail reporting, and Web-based interfacing and photo-ID badge management.

“This solution was designed with central stations in mind to provide a unique combination of value-added services and remote management,” said Jerry Winslow, vice president, Bold Technologies, LTD. “Using WIN-PAK PRO Central Station and Manitou, dealers can add value to every installation and users can be assured that their systems are properly managed.”

Among the remote services the software enables: Central stations can respond to requests for adding and deleting access cards; create customized reports on an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis; receive detailed reports via Web-enabled devices; and grant customers limited system access through a Web browser interface that lets them manage cards and create their own reports. All system events are managed through Honeywell’s WIN-PAK PRO Central Station while users control the system using Bold’s Manitou interface.

“Too often, more features and functionality means having to learn a new operating system, but with WIN-PAK PRO Central Station and Manitou the hassle is eliminated,” said John Smith, senior marketing manager, Honeywell. “The Manitou interface is robust and provides the same look and feel that central station operators are accustomed to. The difference is now we can offer increased value without the need for additional operator training. It’s truly an integrated solution that makes security management easier.”

Honeywell and Bold Technologies, LTD will demonstrate the combined remote managed services at ISC West 2008 in April. To learn more, visit honeywellaccess.com.
